• Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) — Physical aids and assisted-living devices for senior citizens with age-related disability or infirmity: walking sticks, walkers, crutches, tripods/quadpods, artificial dentures, wheelchairs, hearing aids and spectacles. For those aged 80 and above, devices are delivered to the doorstep.
• AVYAY — Atal Vayo Abhyuday Yojana — The central umbrella scheme for senior citizen welfare. Five components: Integrated Programme for Senior Citizens (IPSrC), State Action Plan for Senior Citizens (SAPSrC), Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY), Senior Citizen Opportunities for Productive Engagement (SCOPE), and Seniorcare Ageing Growth…
• Provedoria — Minister’s Discretionary Fund — Discretionary assistance by the Minister in charge.
• Provedoria — Chief Minister’s Discretionary Grant — Discretionary financial assistance in deserving cases.
• Maintenance Tribunal (MWPSC Act, 2007) — A senior citizen or parent unable to maintain themselves may apply for maintenance. An authorised person or organisation may apply on their behalf, and the Tribunal may act suo motu. A Maintenance Officer assists.
• KTCL bus concession — 50% — Fifty per cent concession on KTCL intrastate routes, claimed against the Social Welfare Senior Citizen Identity Card.
